The Getting To Know You games are designed to help students get to know one another and have fun sharing ideas where there is no right or wrong answer. The games are fun and have a reflection element that can be used to enhance and make visible different ways of thinking or interacting.

These Getting To Know You games are useful both for the start of the year when you and the students are establishing a learning community, they are also useful in ‘Who We Are’ inquiries and for times when new students join your learning community during the school year.

The games can just be played as part of a fun get to know process, or they can be taken a step further using the thinking routines and an opportunity to reflect, enabling students to share what they have discovered during the game about

  • Different perspectives
