Shape Attributes Bingo
Shape Attributes Bingo is a game that can be used to help students learn and explore the vocabulary of shapes and the attributes that are used to describe and sort them.
The key vocabulary in this unit includes 2D shape, 3D shape, angle, area, congruent, curved, edge, equilateral, faces, height, intersecting, irregular, length, line, parallel, perimeter, polygon, quadrilateral, regular, sides, space, straight, vertex/vertices and width.
The game is suitable for grades 3 to 5, as it deals with the more sophisticated attributes of space and shape that are also connected to measuring. This particular version of the game encourages students to read and discuss the definitions, vocabulary and illustrations and then design their own bingo cards.
