WRITING PROCESS – Pictures

This WRITING PROCESS- Pictures display can be placed in a classroom or other learning space, to help prompt thinking or to be used for reflections.

This is a tried and tested resource with high quality, imaginative visual prompts that are respectful of difference in ability, age, gender and culture.

Included in the resource are some ideas about how to turn display style resources into inquiry teaching tools. These displays can also be used to support portfolio and student conference evidence and presentations.

The WRITING PROCESS- Pictures display has been carefully illustrated to help you and your students collaboratively develop a shared language of learning.

Our writing process character is based on the idea that writing is about adventuring and discovering more about ideas and then finding a way to share them with other people. So in each part of the writing process Pearl has developed a unique adventuring writer whose hat also gives you a clue as to the focus of each part of the writing process.

These cards are not designed to follow a straight line or a circular process, rather they are designed to be moved, revisited and juggled around according to an individual writer’s needs.

Teachers will have school administration and curriculum guidelines to follow and we hope that these cards will support both them and their learners in this process.

If your school requires a different step or steps or a re-naming of the process, but you like the illustrations or want to order a bespoke writing process for your school please contact us at beconwiz@beconwiz.com
