BEFORE USE

  • Identify and choose the posters and skills that best match your the requirements of your teaching or the school’s preferred model of the scientific process.
  • Print out your posters and have them ready for the students to use.

IDEAS FOR USE EXPLORING THE SCIENTIFIOC METHOD (Constructivist approach to learning)

  • Hand out copies of the posters to the students and ask them to sort and decide which ones are the steps in the scientific process and which ones are the skills.
  • Ask the students to hypothesize the order of the scientific process. Then provide the students with the materials needed for a simple experiment and let them test their ideas about the process for conducting the experiment.
  • As a class put the posters up in the order the students predict the scientific process will develop through.
