Team update…busy busy busy

BCW teamUncategorized

Well a busy couple of weeks have passed and even busier ones are ahead. We continue to tweak the website and overcome, understand, uncover (and various other prefixes) hassles on the site to ensure it will function easily and reliably. As we continue to appreciate this is no small task.

Pearl has attended some Narrative training in Sydney about the use of support documents and illustration. She has been playing with the BCW logo in her spare time and was so excited last night as a fantastical logo came into being. She was leaping around and sharing her excitement when the Wacom Tablet crashed and the logo fell off the world and went flying into some sort of hyperspace……… many hours of work gone in the blink of a computer screen. To console herself she is listening to MEG MAC and reading “The Buddha in the Attic” by Julie Otsuka.

Carla is flat out preparing resources and info material for her teacher-in-residence stint commencing next week at the Canadian International School of Hong Kong. She is knee deep in ideas and excitement and even though she will have to delay celebrating her birthday, she is buzzing with excitement. She is currently reading “Transitioning to Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction” by H. Lynn Erickson and Lois A. Lanning (2014), and when she has time, is listening to Emmy Lou Harris and Mary Chapin Carpenter.

MD is busy working on a paper on Positioning with the intent to submit it for possible presentation at the IB Asia Pacific Conference in Hyderabad,2016. She is a great scribbler of new ideas onto any scraps of table napkins, old envelopes, torn off emails etc., which have now accumulated and are being re-searched and re-organized into material for the paper. She is currently reading “Indonesia Etc.” by Elizabeth Pisani and listening to Archie Roach ‘s Charcoal Lane.

We have our own foreign correspondents scattered across the globe taking fabulous photos for use in upcoming BCW Flip Books. More on this later ………..
